Ultra high voltage can reduce losses in long-distance transmission and has broad application prospects in other regions of the world. At present, China's ultra-high voltage transmission technology is at a leading level in the world. As an international standard voltage, China's ultra-high voltage AC voltage standard will be promoted to the world. ”
With the increasing application of renewable energy, it will drive investment in transmission networks. The transformation of underground power grids and power transmission networks in urban areas requires high-voltage and ultra-high voltage cables. In addition, with the continuous development of direct current transmission line technology, new high-voltage and ultra-high voltage cables are needed to replace aging oil filled cables. For example, 95% of the underground cable network of the National Grid in the UK is laid with oil filled cables, and the average service life has reached 27 years.
As China's ultra-high voltage technology goes overseas and is promoted by the world, China's ultra-high voltage cables also need to accelerate their pace to go global. At present, there are more than 200 factories worldwide with the production capacity of high-voltage cables, with over 70 in China alone and nearly 40 in Europe.
